"Home is where the vineyard is!"

This was our 2nd stay at Gjoa's vineyard and it was even better than the first... because we were here for longer :) My husband and I stayed from September 2-9, planned around our anniversary, and it was so perfect (minus the hit and miss weather during the week). If you want a place where you can truly call home during your time away from home, this is it. Gjoa and John have thought of all the little things that just make things easier while on vacation. The kitchen is stocked with all you could need, the living room,/dining area is most comfortable for relaxing and or enjoying a meal, and you have the best view from the patio - right onto the vineyard. As the nights were cool, we much enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and blankets to curl up with while enjoying a glass of wine. We also enjoyed a few games of Yahtzee that was provided. John called the first morning of our stay to make sure we had all that we needed and all was going well so far, which is appreciated in case we did have questions. Amenities in the area are plentiful and easily accessible. KVR trail access is steps from the front door making for lovely runs/walks. Wineries are all around offering plenty of opportunity for tastings, Penticton offers some lovely tennis courts which we took full advantage of when the weather permitted. The Bench market on your way into town is our favorite breakfast spot - the Bench Burrito is a must try... be sure to try it at least once with churizo. We made a couple day trips down to Osoyoos and Oliver for some more wine tastings and dinner. - staying at Gjoa's was the perfect hub. If I could give more than 5 stars in this review I would - it's everything you could want in a get away - beautiful views, amenities, comfort and wine! "Nirvana in Naramata"

The suite is tastefully decorated, well-appointed and the location can't be beat. We were lucky enough to secure a reservation due to a cancellation and have nothing but good things to say about our stay. John & Gjoa were very friendly and helpful in recommending places to eat & wineries to visit. The main reason for our trip was to ride the KVR Trail from Kelowna to Penticton. We were thrilled to discover that the trail let out right at Gjoa's Vineyard. Arriving back into the comfort & tranquility of the suite after a long ride was perfection. Thanks John & Gjoa, we will be back!

"Loved this place so much"

We chose Gjoa's Vineyard for our honeymoon and could not be happier about our decision to stay here. The valley, vineyard and one bedroom suite were all top notch! We had an amazing time and give many thanks to John & Gjoa for their amazing hospitality and making our honeymoon extra special. They really do stand out from every other rental place we've stayed at. They go above and beyond what you would expect, are always available for questions and ensure you have an amazing stay. Everything about this place was absolutely amazing! The vineyard has gorgeous views overlooking the Okanagan Lake. We went for many walks through the vineyard. There is a beautiful little tranquil area in the middle of the vineyard with a bench and little garden. It is so peaceful and relaxing here, but yet you are so close to many wineries. We also enjoyed a bike ride on the KVR Trail, which John graciously drove us and the bikes up to the top of the bench in his truck so we could cruise down through the breathtaking views and vineyards. It's just a short bike ride in to downtown Penticton too. We stayed in the additional private suite. The bed was super comfortable. The sheets had been pressed and are very soft. The kitchenette is great for wine, snacks and leftovers. And the raindrop shower was amazing! We truly enjoyed our stay. It far exceeded our expectations, and will definitely be back!

"Lovely stay in wine country"

This was our second stay at Gjoa's Vineyard and on arrival it seemed even better than we remembered. The apartment is beautiful and fully equipped; the setting surrounded by vines and with a view across Okanagan Lake to Summerland, superb; and the location right on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail and a short walk from Hillside Cellars bistro, perfect for bike trips to wineries, and in to Penticton for the Saturday farmers market. The suite is immaculately kept and has everything you need. The patio was wonderful to sit out on to enjoy the balmy night air and perfect for viewing the Perseid meteor showers that were just ending when we arrived. We love the scenery and the wines of the Naramata bench and Gjoa's Vineyard is right in the middle of it. Lovely too is the beach just to the north on Okanagan Lake where we enjoyed superb swimming in the clean and warm water. We hope to be back again one day and would highly recommend Gjoa's Vineyard.

"This property is like a piece of heaven in the Okanagan"

We cannot express fully this wonderful property of GJOA VINEYARD. The breath-taking view looking outside the living room and master bed-room windows. The decor inside was very nice, as everything for the comfort of the guests were met and surpassed. There is nothing to bring at this Vineyard except yourselves and expect a lot of R & R. We enjoyed many wine-tasting tours, both planned and personal. We enjoyed the amenities of both lakes, BBQ's, fantastic outside markets, live entertainment, beautiful walks, countless bike trails, ice cream, fruit stands, nice restaurants, panoramic views in every directions. The proprioters contact you to see if you need anything and suggest things to see and do as they are knowledgeable about the country. You are made welcome to walk throughout the property and vineyard. Enjoy the California Quails as they can put on a show, they are ready to entertain you when you get up and when you come home, all for free. The little humming birds that hover and suck the nectar from all the beautiful flowers on the property. there are countless other birds and animals that you will experience and see when you sit on their outside patio sipping on a glass of wine and tasting some locally made cheeses and fresh fruits. We drove all the way down to Ossooyos, Oliver, Okanagan Falls, up to Summerland , Peachland, Kelowna Vernon. All spectacular drives We highly recommend this to people who want to experience something different from staying in hotels and motels. We are already planning to re-visit GJOA's VINEYARD soon. An experience that will stay with you for ever.

"Our favorite vacation spot!"

This was our third visit to Gjoa's Vineyard and won't be our last!! Gjoa and John have thought of everything that any guest could ever wish for on vacation! The suite is wonderfully appointed, clean and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The kitchen has everything a chef could want to create a meal! The location is spectacular--you will love the view of the vineyards and the lake from the deck! We can't wait to return to our favorite vacation destination next summer!

"So perfect ... made it hard to leave"

My husband and I stayed at Gjoa's from May 30-June 2. It was absolutely perfect! The rental space is beautiful and much larger than the pictures make it out to be. The beautiful garden out front of the covered patio, just before the vineyard provided much entertainment and photo ops for my husband as he watched the birds enjoy the seed in the feeder. Walking in the vineyard with a glass of wine while enjoying the sunset was lovely. When it rained, you could still enjoy the outdoors relaxing with more wine while under the covered patio and blankets provided. The location was a perfect home base while we took advantage of the many wineries in Naramata, and the opportunity to walk/run the KVR trail which is a quick 2 min walk from door to trail head. The view from the bedroom looking out into the vineyard was so relaxing and peaceful it made you want to just lay in bed for hours! We look forward to coming back next year, maybe later in the season when the grapes are further along :) Thanks John and Gjoa for the wonderful stay. You were always so quick to respond to emails, and everything made us feel completely at home!

"The Véraison Guest Room"

Gjoa’s Vineyards is a culmination of all the “must haves” we look for in the perfect place. The air conditioned suite is private, clean and the ideal size for a couple. The bed is super comfortable, the rain shower luxurious, the kitchenette is perfect for preparing a cheese platter or a lite snack and the deck offers a shady retreat from the summer heat with a great view of the vineyards and glimpse of the lake. The location of the property is fantastic. Gjoa’s has great access to the Kettle Valley Trail and is within 5 minutes’ walk of several wineries, a cheesery and one of the top restaurants on the bench. And we couldn’t ask for better hosts. Both John and Gjoa are super friendly and helpful. At the end of the day when the sun has set and you’ve retired from the day’s activities, you’ll find the leather recliners calling your name. Feet up, glass of red… what more could you want?
